Who handles your data?
Markus Defekta Bilar is responsible for the data collected through this website’s form.
What data do we collect?
We save your name, email address, phone number and the location of the car. We also save the vehicle details, description and photos you provide. Photos are stored privately in Cloudflare R2 and are accessible to authorised people to assess your enquiry. They are not automatically published in our gallery. Photos follow the same retention period as the enquiry. We store a hash of the connection’s IP address to limit spam; it is not used for marketing. If you send a message through the contact page or the chat, we save your name, email, any phone number, the message and – for chats – the chat history, and send a copy to our email. If you look up a registration number, vehicle details are fetched from an external vehicle-data provider, which receives the registration number.
Why do we use your data?
We use your details to assess the car, answer your enquiry and discuss a possible sale. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising messages. We process it to take steps towards a possible contract at your request.
Storage and access
Enquiries are saved in the website’s database. Authorised people at Markus Defekta Bilar and the service providers needed for hosting and communication may process the data for this purpose. Enquiries that do not lead to a sale should be deleted within 6 months. Records needed for a completed sale are handled separately.
Your rights
You can request information about your personal data and ask us to correct inaccurate details or delete data. You can also contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten) to make a complaint.

This website uses no analytics tools, marketing cookies or tracking pixels. Form details remain in the page’s memory until submitted. No personal data is saved in the browser; only a technical flag recording that the welcome animation has been shown is kept for the visit.
